McCain Flip-Flops On Iraq!!
Tue Apr 29, 2008 at 09:31:03 AM PDT
From the Huffington Post:
Host Chris Matthews pressed McCain on the issue. "You've heard the ideological argument to keep U.S. forces in the Middle East. I've heard it from the hawks. They say, keep United States military presence in the Middle East, like we have with the 7th Fleet in Asia. We have the German...the South Korean component. Do you think we could get along without it?"
McCain held fast, rejecting the very policy he urges today. "I not only think we could get along without it, but I think one of our big problems has been the fact that many Iraqis resent American military presence," he responded. "And I don't pretend to know exactly Iraqi public opinion. But as soon as we can reduce our visibility as much as possible, the better I think it is going to be."
IL-14 D-Bill Foster Poised to Win Hastert's seat March 8th
Wed Feb 13, 2008 at 10:53:43 AM PDT
In a poll released today D-Bill Foster is an a statistical tie with R-challenger Jim Oberweis in the ruby red 14th district of Illinois. Oberweis is a far-right radical and would be a rubber stamp for Bush.
The telephone survey of 525 "likely voters," conducted in the five days after the Feb. 5 dual congressional primaries, showed Republican Oberweis leading 45 percent to Foster's 43 percent.
Foster's camp finds significance not in the margin, but in the bigger picture.
"This is kind of an earthquake," Foster spokesman Tom Bowen said Tuesday, referring to the traditional GOP foundation across the 14th District. "They should be leading by 10 points ... because he's known by more people and he's Republican."
Updated:Rush Limbaugh To Host A Fundraiser For Hillary
Thu Feb 07, 2008 at 10:49:40 AM PDT
I just happened to be flipping thru the radio and heard Rush say that he is planning to host a fundraiser for HRC:
"Whether you perceive this as a slap to McCain, or you perceive this as an idea to unify our party against the Democrats, i am announcing today that I will do everything I can to help fund Sen. Clintons campaign."
Obviously Republicans need Hillary to get the nomination to have any chance, but this is BEYOND desperate.
